3. Where is LEGACY hosted ?
The website is hosted on secure servers operated by UM6P (Mohammed VI Polytechnic University), Morocco at the school 1337. Address: Lot 660 – Hay Moulay Rachid, Ben Guerir 43150, Morocco. Once the full website is online, a copy of the website is to be saved monthly on a secure server operated at Aix-Marseille Université (58 boulevard Charles-Livon 13284 Marseille, France).
4. Does LEGACY subscribe to a specific view of how the history of thought operates?
LEGACY is first and foremost a toolbox.
Our team unites scholars from many disciplines and an even wider network of partners, so we deliberately adopt a pluralist stance toward intellectual history. We invite users to examine the life of ideas at every scale and from every angle. For example, The Great Conversation module maps citation networks between classic works, while KnowledgeTree drills down to a more micro‑level of mentor–student lineages.
We welcome fresh proposals and brainstorming sessions on new ways modern technology can illuminate the history of thought.
5. What are the copyrights on LEGACY data and code ?
All LEGACY data and code is released in open data under the GNU LesserGeneral Public License (LGPL) v3.
