# LEGACY FAQ

## **1. What is LEGACY ?**

LEGACY is a digital library dedicated to the foundational works that have shaped contemporary global identities. It brings together major philosophical, mythological, and scientific texts that have structured human knowledge, worldviews, and collective representations across time.

Beyond simple preservation, LEGACY is designed as an active research environment. It hosts participatory science projects that allow scholars and contributors to connect texts across traditions, periods, and disciplines. Through these tools, users can trace how works have been interpreted, reinterpreted, and transformed, and how ideas circulate, diverge, and reappear over long intellectual genealogies.

LEGACY therefore functions as both an archive and an analytical platform. It makes it possible to visualize relationships between texts, to compare competing readings, and to understand how canonical works acquire meaning through transmission, commentary, and controversy. In this sense, LEGACY is an infrastructure for exploring the deep evolution of human thought.

## **2. How can I contribute to LEGACY's research?**

We are always seeking :

* Research ideas in the digital humanities
* Scholars with expertise in a particular author who would like to join our expert network
* Contributions that explore how classical texts shape contemporary global identities

If you are interested in any of these areas, please contact us.

## 3. Can I contribute new texts?

## **5. Does LEGACY subscribe to a specific view of how the history of thought operates?**

We welcome **fresh proposals** and brainstorming sessions on new ways modern technology can illuminate the history of thought.
